Cochise Toastmasters is a unique, diverse community club, equal members of men and women 18-88, with a family atmosphere of warmth, encouragement, and even hugging that promotes the best in personal growth.
The Cochise Toastmasters Club provides a mutually supportive and positive learning environment that enables members to develop effective public speaking and leadership skills. Our organization is a member club of Toastmasters International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping men and women learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking - vital skills that enhance one's communications skills and leadership potential.
**Toastmasters International is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian, educational organization of Toastmaster clubs throughout the free world. Toastmasters programs provide opportunities to develop skill in listening, thinking, speaking, and leadership by participating in a series of oral communication projects, constructive evaluation, and leadership experience.
Toastmasters provides a way to increase self confidence and public speaking skills. Public speaking ranks as one of the top fears that people experience all over the world. We believe the only way to get over that fear is face it head on. Take that Toastmasters challenge! At Toastmasters, you get to practice public speaking regularly by taking advantage of opportunities to get involved in various meeting roles. The Cochise Toastmasters club is a supportive, positive and fun environment available to everyone.
You're welcome to become a guest at our next meeting to see for yourself how we help members improve their public speaking skills. Our meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. sharp every Tuesday at the Landmark Café in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
If you like what you see, we will start helping you realize your communications potential. Upon signing up, you will immediately receive a training manual and be assigned to a mentor. Depending on your comfort level, you will be given the opportunity to give your first speech - whether it's a four-minute "ice-breaker" speech that tells others about yourself, or a simple "closing thought" message to share a special thought for the day.
